1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Powdered sugar and milk for icing
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare Pastries: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares. Fold the corners slightly inward to create a rounded shape.
2️⃣ Cheese Filling: In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolk, and lemon juice until smooth.
3️⃣ Assemble: Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry square.
4️⃣ Bake: Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden and puffed.
