Cabbage Patties 🥬✨
Ingredients:
- 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water (as needed)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cabbage Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, onion, garlic, and parsley. Mix well.
- Add Dry Ingredients:
- To the cabbage mixture, add the all-purpose flour, breadcrumbs, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Adjust Consistency:
- Gradually add water to the mixture, a little at a time, until the mixture holds together but is not too wet. It should be thick enough to form patties.
- Shape the Patties:
- Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Heat the Oil:
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Ensure there is enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
- Fry the Patties:
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Drain and Serve:
- Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
