Cabbage Patties 🥬✨


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup water (as needed)
  • Oil for frying
    Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Cabbage Mixture:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, onion, garlic, and parsley. Mix well.
  1. Add Dry Ingredients:
  • To the cabbage mixture, add the all-purpose flour, breadcrumbs, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  1. Adjust Consistency:
  • Gradually add water to the mixture, a little at a time, until the mixture holds together but is not too wet. It should be thick enough to form patties.
  1. Shape the Patties:
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  1. Heat the Oil:
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Ensure there is enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  1. Fry the Patties:
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  1. Drain and Serve:
  • Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
