Ingredients:

  • 8 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted, divided

  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon scallions, finely sliced

Instructions:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups white rice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Finely grated zest of one lime
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add rice and stir to coat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until rice starts to brown.
  2. Add garlic and cook for another minute.

Ingredients:

  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 2–3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions:

  2. Add garlic, onion powder, and turmeric, and stir to mix well.
  3. Slowly stir in chicken broth and raise the heat to medium-high. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups white rice
  • 3 tablespoons neutral oil
  • ¼ onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr chicken bouillon
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 roma tomatoes
  • 2 cups hot water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 3 sprigs cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry onions and garlic until lightly browned. Remove garlic and set aside.
  2. Add rice to the pan and toast for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until golden brown.
  3. Mix in chicken bouillon and garlic powder, and toast for another minute.
  4. Blend roma tomatoes and the fried garlic clove into a smooth sauce (about 1 cup).
  5. Add tomato sauce to the rice, stirring constantly for 30 seconds. Watch the heat to avoid burning.
  6. Add hot water and stir in salt if needed. Add cilantro sprigs on top, continue boiling until some water evaporates.
  7. Lower the heat, cover, and cook for 20 minutes without lifting the lid.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and mix in the tomato sauce layer evenly. Let rest for an additional 10 minutes (optional) for softer rice. Serve warm.
