- 24 Oreo cookies, crushed very fine
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
For the Peppermint Layer:
- 2 oz (55 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp peppermint extract
- A drop of red gel food coloring (optional for swirl effect)
For Coating:
- 10 oz (280 g) white chocolate or white candy melts
- Holiday sprinkles or crushed peppermint candy
Instructions
- Make the Oreo Truffle Base:
- In a bowl, mix crushed Oreos with cream cheese until a smooth dough forms.
- Roll into 18 small balls and flatten the tops slightly.
- Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Make the Peppermint Layer:
- Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and peppermint extract.
- Add red food coloring for a festive swirl if desired.
- Pipe or spoon a small dollop on top of each chilled Oreo base.
- Freeze again for 10–15 minutes.
- Dip in White Chocolate:
- Melt white chocolate until smooth.
- Dip each truffle, letting excess drip off.
- Place on parchment paper.
- Decorate:
- Immediately top with sprinkles or crushed peppermint.
- Chill for at least 20 minutes to set.
