  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened

For the Peppermint Layer:

  • 2 oz (55 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • A drop of red gel food coloring (optional for swirl effect)

For Coating:

  • 10 oz (280 g) white chocolate or white candy melts
  • Holiday sprinkles or crushed peppermint candy


Instructions

  1. Make the Oreo Truffle Base:
    • In a bowl, mix crushed Oreos with cream cheese until a smooth dough forms.
    • Roll into 18 small balls and flatten the tops slightly.
    • Chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Peppermint Layer:
    • Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and peppermint extract.
    • Add red food coloring for a festive swirl if desired.
    • Pipe or spoon a small dollop on top of each chilled Oreo base.
    • Freeze again for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Dip in White Chocolate:
    • Melt white chocolate until smooth.
    • Dip each truffle, letting excess drip off.
    • Place on parchment paper.
  4. Decorate:
    • Immediately top with sprinkles or crushed peppermint.
    • Chill for at least 20 minutes to set.
