  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

For Decorating:

  • 6 large marshmallows (snowman heads)
  • Pretzel sticks (arms)
  • Candy eyes
  • Mini chocolate chips or black icing (buttons)
  • Orange sprinkle or icing (carrot nose)
  • Melted white chocolate or icing (optional for extra “melty” effect)

Instructions

  1. Make the Krispie Base:
    • Melt butter in a pot over low heat.
    • Add mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
    • Mix in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
    • Drop 6 mounds of the mixture onto parchment paper and press lightly into “melting puddle” shapes.
  2. Add the Snowman Heads:
    • Place one large marshmallow on top of each puddle while still slightly warm so it sticks.
  3. Decorate the Snowmen:
    • Press pretzel sticks into the sides for arms.
    • Add candy eyes and chocolate-chip buttons.
    • Use icing or melted chocolate to pipe a carrot nose and smile.
    • Drizzle a little melted white chocolate over the marshmallow head for extra “melty snow” effect.
  4. Cool & Set:
    • Let cool for 15–20 minutes or until firm enough to move.

Tips for the Cutest Snowmen

  • Grease your hands slightly to shape the Krispie puddles easily.
  • Add scarves using gummy belts or colored icing.
  • For extra stability, stick the marshmallow head on with a dab of melted chocolate.
  • Want them to look extra melted? Flatten the cereal bases more and drizzle more white chocolate.
