Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
For the Baileys Whipped Cream:
1½ cups heavy cream
3 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
For the Chocolate Cake Layer:
1 chocolate cake, baked and crumbled (store-bought or homemade)
½ cup chocolate sauce (for drizzling)
Garnishes:
Chocolate shavings or curls
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing until fully combined. Gradually incorporate the heavy cream while beating until the mixture thickens. Stir in the Baileys Irish Cream and continue to beat until fluffy.
Make the Baileys Whipped Cream:
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and Baileys Irish Cream until stiff peaks form.
Assemble the Trifle:
In a large trifle dish, layer one-third of the crumbled chocolate cake. Drizzle with chocolate sauce. Next, add a layer of the chocolate cheesecake mixture, followed by a layer of Baileys whipped cream. Repeat the layering process until the dish is filled, finishing with a generous layer of Baileys whipped cream on top.
Garnish:
Decorate the trifle with chocolate shavings or curls and additional whipped cream if desired.
Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let the flavors meld beautifully.
